Well, if it burns and your glands have swollen, it could be some bacterial infection that should be treated with antibiotics.

Girls who have sex for the first time are susceptible of contracting a bacterial infection of the urethra called honeymoon cystis. It is not a sexually transmitted disease but regular gastrointestinal bacteria.

It is quite possible that your doctor will ask you if you had sex or not but you could make sure you are alone in the office and that your parents are waiting outside.

Honeymoon cystis as well as other bacterial infection could occur in women who haven’t had sex, so if you are alone and say to the doctor that s/he doesn’t say anything about sex, then they mustn’t.

If your boyfriend has sex before it is quite possible that he transmitted some kind of bacteria to you. These bacteria need to be treated especially if it is Chlamydia, because Chlamydia can cause infertility in women if not treated. I would advise you to see a doctor to have this checked.

Even if you only had sex once , it is quite possible that you have contracted an STD. Although it is embarassing, you should discuss this with your partner. You should also visit a hospital because it will be faster than waiting for a doctors appointment and this is a situation where you don't want your symptoms to worsen. Don't worry too much , no one wants an STD but if you have one it is important to try to live as normally and happily as possible. Good luck girl! :-)
