Hi, my father is 54 years old and he suffers from Bell's palsy. Unfortunately he never fully recovered from this disorder. He was taking all prescribed medications regularly but some symptoms persist even today 4 years after palsy appeared. I would like to know why that happened. If someone has similar experience I would be thankful to hear.

Hi, unfortunately there are some patients which never fully recovered from Bell's palsy. Reason for this is damage of the nerve fibers which cause permanent lost of function. Unfortunately this damage is irreversible but some surgical operation may be done in order to restore normal face look. I hope this info will be useful.
