I been having tailbone pain for almost four months...it's a nightmare. it all started when I went to the clinic for a regular check up with my physician and I had to sit four hours. When I got home I was in a lot of pain, at first I treated myself for a couple of weeks with Ben Gay, heating pads, taking Motrin but the pain got worse. I ended in the ER and the results of my condition was I had an infection in one of my kidney's and I had tailbone they immediately put me on IV Cipro then release and given a prescription for Cipro for ten days and a pain medicine still I am suffering from the tailbone pain, I can't sit for long, I have problems dressing and putting on shoes, problems sleeping. The doctor's can't say how long the condition will last as each individual is different, I have a friend and hers lasted a year. One feels like the world fell on top of them, you feel limited there's so much one can do and the uncertainty not knowing when the terrible pain will subside and one can go back to normal. It takes its toll physically and mentally. If anyone out there has gone through this condition and can give advise what else one can do will be truly appreciated.
