To everyone who's been having the weird pulsating temples with no other major symptoms...found out that for me, it was due to teeth clenching. I got some teeth guards at the drug store and the pulsating stopped! Try that...I was going to go to the Neurologist since it's been bugging me for months but my GP thought it could be TMJ but never occurred to me since I didn't have any pain with my jaw. Hope this helps you guys! :)

in my case its only when i go out barefooted and its fresh..also when im jogging or doing something and my body is sweating and i get in my car in the cold a/c....so related to all this for me is the drastic change in temperature. You will notice this happens less if you refrain from doing these things...also eat more potassium due to the fact that lack of potassium weakens the nervous systems and also cause cramps and many disorders. Its what it does for me i dont know if every case is different, but yeah when my temple (right or left) starts twitching it can be very annoying.

I have it too and it started the daybefore before I had an heart episode with shortness of breath and chest pain.
I think it is related breathing & heart pumping and oxygen flow.

I also have the temple twitching, almost always on the left side, but once in awhile on the right side. I have weird feelings of skin crawling at times. I get pain in my teeth at times and they feel tender. I have been under lots of stress the last few years, and my muscles in my neck/shoulders/jaw tighten up. I get what feels like inflammation in my sinuses, but they've been checked with CT scan and are clear/normal. I have seen many specialists, including 2 neurologists, 4 ENT's, dentist, 4 family docs, etc. They all say I am healthy but have anxiety. When the symptoms come on, I take a very low dose of Buspirone and the symptoms go away. I always thought anxiety was for crazy people, but the more I talk to people about it, the more I realize how normal and common it is. Anxiety felt very physical and did not feel as I expected it to, so it was difficult to accept that's what it was. Maybe this info will help someone else too. Never give up searching for a way to cope with any symptoms you have.

I'm guessing everyone who has twitchy temples clenches their teeth, frowns and has a tense posture. I have been frowning and gritting my teeth for about an hour subconciously, and as soon as I raised my eyebrows, opened my eyelids wide and relaxed my jaw, the twitches slowed down and stopped. That's all there is to it. Just relax and put a smile on that dial and you'll be fine.
