Since the "OC" instant release oxys are a thing of the past, how does that affect the price of the current OP pills. I know the druggies have figured a way to use these by now

I was just reading and agree with what you say, but questions. Do you have that small copay on oxyconten. I sure don't since they supposedy changed it's cover a few years ago. If you do get that liw a copay is it for a feneric. I was unaware of a new feneric to sate. Or does your insurance just gave that low a copay on everything even non generics. I pay 200 mo and sure would like to go back to 15 mo. Thank you.

I don't know a thing about responding to these boards- but "Guest" above who suggested 2 "stop crying" & deal w/ break through pain- let me say this. I, too, did everything possible to completely ignore pain when my husband of 16 yrs left our PLANNED family when our 1st child was 5, #2 was 12.5 MONTHS old, & our 6 week early preemie was born- a very high risk pregnancy that Dr's thought "awful joint/ muscle" stabbing 18/24 hrs a day, fully thumping in waves the other 6hrs, might get gone once baby was born, diagnosing me w/ hyper flexible joints caused by a natural hormone, Relaxin, produced during pregnancy. My joints were so bad I'd awaken 2 a soaked in tears pillow (still occurs today but can be accompanied w/ screams of pain-& I'm not even awake. I "sucked" it up, all right, I commuted 5 days a week 4 1 hr each way to my FT social worker in a "secure facility" (I'm Canadian- think max). Baby was born days after ignoring Dr's advice, & hubby had planned to bail that month- I'd put him through school, payed off both loans, all credit debt & had exactly $20,000 saved 4 a downpayment. In our 16 years together, we did not get a cent from him working as a teacher (5 yrs post secondary); he worked 2 days a week- Tues 4-8pm & Sat 10-6pm. I still had 2 pay for 1.5 spots of daycare, though- he was too hard at work

I agree with above. I had a total hip replacement end of June and am awaiting surgery on my broken back. I was prescribed 20mg to be taken each morning and night and 10mg to be taken every 3 hours or as required.
After 4 days I took the tablets back to my doctor. He would not accept them as they are a controlled drug (uk). I had to sign them over at a pharmacy. These are very strong. I didn't like what they did, although they did kill the pain. Be very very careful, they should only be taken as part of a controlled pain management programme.
Anyone selling these on deserves prosecution in my opinion.

What is with you people blaming Obama, it's not his fault or the fault of The Affordable Health Act. My wife has Stage 4 Colon cancer and Anthem, her provider does not refuse her the oxy's. Quit blaming others for the faults of your insurance company, they just don't want to pay $400 a month for your meds. That's all it is dude.

FYI : if you have a sam's club membership, you can get up to 40% off almost all meds. My prescription goes for $600 month. With my membership it is half or less. Theembwrship is good for one year, well worth the savings. You could also ask your doctor for alternative such methadone which is very strong, much stronger mg for mg than oxy, IMHO. And cost efficient. About A@a$15-$20 a month, depending on how many your prescribed

I agree. I just went thru a 3 day ordeal to get my monthly ocycontin. Apparently I had called in 3 days too early. Thanks DEA for the 2 day ahead deal. You have the right idea. I get hell over my alprazolam, too. Not, from my care giver-he's compassionate and knows I'm not drug seeing. I would like to wish you the very best with your Marfan. If you are like me and could get rid of chronic pain or just pain and never need another pill, it'd be a beautiful world! May peace and love be with you
