Beautifully put and unfortunately accurate AF.. Asking for it specifically was the first mistake. Maybe casually mentioning that you used to take it and it worked well may have yielded a better result.. When pain meds are desired every word you say, every mannerism and even the way you dress are instantly being reviewed and can result in a solid NO very quickly right or wrong.. These doctors put their livelihood on the line with every prescription of opiates so he did the right thing imo, especially since the street was your next step.. You wouldn't consider that if you didn't already have an idea where to get them, meaning you are already in tune with shady activities..
Are you sure you're not on amphetamine? I just took an 80 OP cut in half. Should I take the other half. I have not done an 80 in two weeks? Since the war on opiates are upon us I can't get a Dr to RX me! I have degenerative arthritis in my neck And 6 screws in neck and two fused vertabre! Any solutions?
Amen,,someone finally has this mess right.I feel your pain.thank God I have a great doctor in the U.S.A..and to all the hypocrite docs.you took the oath?...help people in legit pain.and not your wallet.stand up and don't be intimidated by m****s who don't know and just go with the flow.non abusers need you.thnx
the nice thing for me, is that i live in tijuana. these doctors down here see my pain, and want to help me in anyway possible. if you do want a name of a good doctor, i can help you out.
I have to say I agree with you about there being NO WAY that woman just “decided” to go cold turkey. I have upper sciatica issues stemming from crushed vertebrae. I dealt with Radom seizing up and pain so bad I couldn’t sit or stand. It took years before they finally knew what was even causing it. For years I was told I had tendentious. Finally after several years I was sent to a spine specialist that ran tests, mri, standing and sitting, cat scans the whole 9. Initially I tried everything I could before going on pain meds. I smoke weed so it helped relax me a lot. I did physical therapy, chiropractic and acupuncture. Finally I gave in. I was started on a low mg ofoxycodone, soma and meloxicam. It worked wonders. Slowly over the years the mg went up due to tolerance. Then about 5 years ago I moved to Georgia and the regular physician does not treat you for chronic pain (which is pretty normal now) but 5 years ago I had no idea what a pain management clinic was. I ended up detoxing for like 2 months while I waited to get in and that is the worst hell in the world. I remember just feeling like I was going to die. Random hot flashes followed by waves of nausea. Horrible mood swings and anxiety. I still smoked weed at the time and it hardly touched that nightmare. When I did finally get to the pain clinic the doctor looked at all of my medical records and scans, X-rays etc. and said he couldn’t believe I was even walking. I’m a avid work out queen and I swear by it making me feel better as far as mobility. Anyway I am now on 20mg oxcotin er and four 4 mg dillaudid for breakthrough. It’s like taking nothing to be honest considering I’ve been on this stuff for over a decade n a half. Georgia cdc has now issued a new law being we can not be prescribed more than 60mg per day of pain meds and that includes the breakthrough and the er together. So I try my hardest to never even take all I’m prescribed in case they ever change it again or just so I won’t need a higher dose. My body doesn’t like it though and I will say this.... I force myself to stay at a lower level some days it’s ok and then some days the sweats and nausea happen because my body wants the higher dose, so I have zero clue how that woman could say she valentarily just quick. I call bs on that. Good luck to you.
You think your in pain but it’s just your ego making you think that so you don’t think that your a severe junkie trust me I’m in pain all the time to and so are certain members of my clan
BZDs are "Mildly addictive physiologically?" Your post seemed like you almost knew what you were talking about until you got to that statement. Opioid withdrawal CANNOT kill you. Just like COCAINE withdrawal CANNOT kill you, despite what you've seen in movies. However, you know what drug withdrawal CAN kill you? Barbiturate, ethanol, and benzodiazepine withdrawal. And that has nothing to do with psychological addiction, but only to the extreme physiological effects. The way you post, people will assume you are an "expert," which you clearly are not.
-Addicted to opioids for years and suffering still from it, but I'd take that any day over extreme barb/eth/benzo addiction. You should not post anymore.
