you cant really just go by rather your bleeding or not cus that's how I found out was pregnant the first time with ectopic I was bleeding alot, and if it wasn't because of the bleeding probably wouldn't have ever took a pregnancy test and the second time I got pregnant which ended in a miscarriage I didn't bleed at all, period wasn't even late yet, I don't think and if it was late, I don't think it was late by much and the only reason I took the test is because I was very late headed, and dizzy actually fell a few times. Took a test found bfp started bleeding a few days later and all test were negative after that but with all my pregnancies I had period like cramps. So cramps could be a sign of a period on the way but the feeling you get from a period, a miscarriage, or say an expanding uterus feels the same in my experience mild cramps, but if the cramps are kind of strong, probably early miscarriage.. One sided cramps could be ectopic which is serious or something could just be a cyst or something, I had a cyst while I was pregnant with ectopic, most pain I ever felt in my entire 26 year on this earth.... So back to original answer yes pregnancy can feel like a period thats coming but never comes and in my case you could actually have that period or at least I thought it was and still be pregnant, youll never be too sure unless you go to the doctors office...
