Hello, i was just wondering if anyone out there could identify what could be the problem happening with my throat. It dries up severely and my voice goes hoarse whenever i do any kind of excercising. I get Physicals done through my work every year and on every test my thyroid levels are always good. I don't know what else it could be, please help :-)

Do you breathe through your mouth when you exercise? If so, then that could be the cause. Or, it could be athlete's asthma. Pay attention to how you breathe, the next time you exercise; that should certainly help you determine what it is. If you breathe through your nose when you exercise, then it is probably athlete's asthma, and a doctor should be able to prescribe treatment.

I have that exact same problem. Did it ever resolve? Well I have a prolong issue with mucus and in my chest after a sinus infection. But it definitely see it worsening when I do physical exercise. If been considering bypassing my PCP and going to ENT doctor.

I had exact same problem today. I didn't realize re voice before I spoke, an hour after a run. I'm an avid runner, but today my throat was very dry. I thought, why? I've and I am constantly drinking liquids. I did have a green tea about 1 hr beforehand, in which I never do and it was 26 degrees. I may have run faster given the tunes on my ipod, another thing I usually don't do...re listen to music whilst I run. Having said all that, I breath large amounts of air through my mouth when running or doing any form of exercise. I'll keep a check on this and re post if symptoms appear. But, the mucus thing is interesting to read also...
