i have previously suffered from severe headaches and my gp said it was migraines which then lasted me for a total of 18months with no let up from them i had a brains scan which showed the ventricles inthe brain were shutting down due to increase of spinal fluid. this was drained off via a lumbar puncture and i was much better. i frequently have to go bk into hospital for lumbar punctures to ease the pain again. i have now been in pain with the headaches again for the last week and im hoping its not happening again cos realy had enough of this now must be something more permenant they can do to help me the condition is called benign intracranial hypertension . hope this helps some of u out there cos i know wot ure going through

I had similar symptoms. For four months I had a constant headache, every single day, I was tired, and lightheaded. I went to doc after doc trying to figure out what was going on but none of them could find out what it was. Everything came back normal. I finally went to a chiropractor and he knew exactly what it was. He said sometimes when your spine with out of wack it can cause tension headaches. I had no idea I'd have to go see a chiropractor for a headache. WOW! So he cracked my back and my headache was INSTANTLY GONE! OMG! I felt like doing cartwheels. He said the spine has memory and will try to go back out of alignment because that is where it's been for so long, so I would have to come back in a couple of weeks for another adjustment. I made another appointment two weeks after my first one and sure enough about 1 week after my first one, the headaches started coming back. I guess my spine went back to where it was. So he cracked my back again and instantly I felt better. I did not have to make a follow up appointment but I do go periodically now whenever I need a little adjustment and feel like a headache is coming on. I go about once every two to three months for a regular adjustment. I don't know if this is the cause of your pain, but it sure doesn't hurt to go see a chiro. It was my saving grace because conventional medicine gave me no answers.

You may want to have your Dr run a test called a PT/INR. That will determine how your blood clots and if you are having any problems there. You may also ask him to check your vit b-12 levels and vit-d levels. I myself was also suffering from the same symptoms and found that I was very low in these two vitamins. After taking the medication my Dr gave me for this and for my pt/inr I feel alot better. Just a suggestion.

I am a 31 yr old male. I have these same symptoms now. But I've also had them before, and they eventually went away, so that helps me rest a little easier.

I should let you know I've had migraines and eustachian tube (ear) problems a lot of my life.

Last time I had these symptoms, was after negative pressure got built up too far in my ear, and I had a tube put in my ear to combat that. For about 2-3 months after that I was lightheaded, lack of concentration/energy, not myself. Headaches, the works. But it eventually passed, and since then the tube has fallen out.

I think maybe the symptoms are back because of the change into the winter season and pressure may be changing effecting my inner ear.

If you have ear problems like me, it could be effecting your balance, just something to consider.

I feel c**p all day lightheaded, headache and I feel sick plus I'm off my food if I don't get enough sleep let me know if it was of help to you

Im 23 yr old female. i have exactly the same problems, dizziness, lightheaded feeling, migrane/ headaches and constantly tired and no energy. the doctor did blood tests everything came back normal. no one has really said what it wrong with me, but i believe like most people who have commented...it is lack of water intake that causes the dizziness and lightheaded feeling. As for the tiredness and no energy, i still dont really have an answer...but have spoken to many pple my age who have had exactly the same thing...so i imagine its down to diet. though im no expert and would love a real diagnosis.

This is absolutely and categorically wrong. Drinking water drives your blood pressure up as it increases circulating volume. Do you even know what the term 'blood pressure' means? One is more likely to experience headaches and tiredness from low blood pressure as your tissues are not recieving as good a supply of blood and thus oxygen as they need for normal healthy performance. Bear in mind that the heart must pump out blood towards the brain (i.e upwards) at really quite a pressure to make sure the brain tissues are well perfused. Yes, it is vital to keep the body well hydrated - but completely not for the reasons you have specified. If you knew anything at all about the chemical processes which enable blood to clot you would not be talking about 'thick' blood. We have kidneys for a reason!!!!! You obviously have very little grasp of basic physiology and therefore you really shouldn't be giving out inaccurate health advice.

Hi Not sure if you ever check the replys. But I have been feeling similar. I have been checked for FACTOR 5 Ledom. It's in the genes of my family. In my siblings/direct family. Some of them have one or the other of this gene. None of us knew until I had a couple of mini strokes & 2 separate nieces in thier early twenties & thirties have both had blood clots in their legs. If you find that it is the factor 5 Ledom. brothers & sisters & parents should be checked to just to notify the docs or hospitals in future years. So maybe your could be a similar thing to what our family have got. Hope you get well soon & or find out what the problems are. By for now Charlotte

I am a 25 year old female. I have been experiencing similar symptoms as well. I feel weak, light headed.....nausea , and after these "attacks" I experience a very mild headache. I have been tested for brain tumours, high blood pressure, inner ear problems, thyroid , and problems with eyesight....I have also had mri's and cat scans and nothing came up. I even been tested for low iron and that was fine. I am now in the process of being tested for ms. But my symptoms come and go. And sometimes can stay for weeks at a time, they effect my energy level. All I wanna do is sleep when I feel like this. Its horrible

I am being attacked by a similar complaint.

Let me explain. I am fine when I get up in the morning but three hours later,I can almost set my clock by it I feel panicky and need to lie down.

I have found that when lying down elevating my feet about 6 inches above the head causing a sensation of blood rushing to the head and the heart rate going up for about a minute. After a half an hour in this position I am fine again and can carry on for another three hours but then it comes on again. My routine has now become 3 hours up half an hour down. Non of the doctors can explain the phenomena. The closest was my GP from way back when taking my blood pressure lying down and then again after leaping up and found a 2 point drop in blood pressure. He diagnosed ortho-static Hypo-tension a condition for which there is virtually no cure. I would be glad to hear whether your condition improves when you lie down in a similar manner

A fair few people on this site could be suffering from sleep apnea. I had a sleep study done and that found the problem. I've been on a CPAP machine for over a month now, and I must say that I am a lot less tired and can stay awake longer - in fact I watch people around me fall asleep while I am still alert.

Does anyone wear contact lenses or glasses? I have these "episodes" too. Especially like one of the first posters mentioned the feeling that my vision is blurry but its really not. Ive even had a slight numbing sensation in my face ears and head area. I was diagnosed with vasovagal syncopy which is a blood pressure issue that can lead to fainting. I had a tilt test that proved that but i am not happy with the diagnosis. I have been anemic in the past and i know i don't drink enough water but it seems that when i eat certain foods the symptoms come on. I think i also throw myself into panic attacks because i don't know whats happening. My vision seems to be getting worse quickly and this freaks me out too. Scary that so many of us have such similar issues and no diagnosis. I was also checked for the early onset MS and was told nothing was wrong. Went to ear nose throat dr and im fine. Cardiologist said im fine too. So needless to say 10 million dollars later in dr bills they say im fine but im obviously not. :(
