My mother had an operation on her leg to have a knee joint replacement. She did not recover well. Her leg became badly infected. They said the strain of the Pseudomonas was that bad she had to have further surgery to clean up her knee joint. They found bone, ligaments and tissue had er-
oded away. She had an intensive anti-biotic treatment in hospital over 4 weeks. The treatment was called FORTUM. Her specialist said "Probably she would have to stay on antibiotics for life. She was taken off the oral antibiotics to see if she had to continue. It appears now that the Pseudomonas has returned. I know it may be a long shot, but is there any alternative therapy, combined with a change in diet that may beat this disease?
