Hello everyone, I had my tonsillectomy done on June 2nd.. So its been 4 days since. It's been very painful but THANK GOD, I have not had any issues with bleeding, or vomiting.. Just excruciating pain when I swallow. Although I have been drinking A LOT of water (I'm gonna start living in the restroom for the next few days! lol!) and also trying to eat as much as I can because my doctor told me the more I eat and drink, the faster I will recover. I've been eating soup, mashed potatos, chicken,  scrambled eggs. But I do have a few questions, here they go..

I have been congested with a lot of mucus like in my throat and nose, when can I blow my nose and when can I try to swallow or spit the mucus in my throat?

When I lay on my back I can't breathe.. and I'm wondering why?

My doctor prescribed me hydrocodone but the last few times I've taken it, it's burned my throat a lot so I've only taken it once today. Any ideas why it burns?

My tongue is nasty yellowish white and I've tried getting rid of that nasty stuff but I just can't, will it go away on it's own?

And when will the scabs start to fall off?

Last one... when I drink water the back of my tongue feels like tingley and painful and this also just started, any ideas why?
