Hello! My little girl this morning slipped and fell on ice. She has harmed her left hand. I am afraid that she has now hand fracture. I will take her to her pediatric this afternoon, but I am very concerned and I want to ask you how he will treat her for hand fracture (if she has hand fracture off course). Thank you in advance!

Hello! First of all, I want to tell you that I hope that this hand fracture is not complicate and that your girl will just need to rest. Regarding treatment for hand fracture, I can tell you that if hand fracture is not displaced, then doctor will use cast and splints to fix hand. But, sometimes cast and splints are not needed. If hand fracture is displaced, then surgery must be performed. Regarding surgery, I can tell you that during operation can be used metal pins (which will be taken out after healing hand fracture) and metal plates and screws which stays permanently in the hand.
