Hi everyone. I'm a 28 year old guy who's suffered from the pain of having bunions, especially on one foot. It's being 5 weeks since I got the surgery done on the one foot. By the 3rd week they took off the stitches. That day I asked the doctor what they did to my foot exactly, and not only did they cut, grinded, and re-located my bone, they placed 2 screws and a metal plate on the area were my bunion was. In two weeks I'm supposed to go back to see the Doctor so they can take X-Rays, no big deal I thought to my self, until I spoke to a girl who had the surgery done too, and she said that when you go and get X-Rays they take off the pins off and it hurts a lot, well here's my question, the doctor said they put 2 screws and a metal plate on my foot, when I go to get X-rays, are they going to take off the screws and the plate?? I'm confused. The girl I spoke to had pins, and I have screws, it doesn't make sense that they would remove my screws, if they were pins it would make more sense. And what about the metal plate? I'm a bit scared. I hope someone can give me some information.
