See a gastroenterologist. Your symptoms sound like mine; cyclical twisting in the upper stomach area with associated discomfort that feels like the gastroesophageal sphincter is in cyclical spasm, in this case associated with GERD (my endoscopy showed normal esophagus, sphincter and stomach). My gastroenterologist prescribed Bentyl (inexpensive), a prescription drug that's been available for several decades (its often used for Irritable Bowel Syndome (IBS); think of the twisting and a possible gastric-proximal extension of IBS). Taking Bentyl about an hour before meals gradually increasingly significantly curbs or eliminates this spasm after continuing on it for several days/weeks. I have titrated myself off of proton pump inhibtors (as of 7 days ago) for GERD because I was getting breakthrough acid reflux (heartburn) on 40 mg Prilosec at bedtime, so tried another proton pump inhibitor Nexium for 10 days, but it did not help. Consequently, I have been using (1) apple cider vinegar (unfiltered with "mother" present; 1-2 tablespoons diluted in about a quart of water (I keep a Camelback bottle full with me) - take a couple sips to relief the heartburn when it occurs, (2) I found that 1.25 tablespoons of ground psyllium seed husks (like metamucil but without the sweetener) swerled/suspended in a small (4oz) glass of water relieves both the heartburn and the twisting/spasm if taken right after each meal, (3) eating some almonds (or using almond milk) also relieves the heartburn and spasms so I eat almonds with some meals, (4) Tums help with the heartburn, but I no longer need/use them becaue heartburn is now almost gone, (5) acupuncture is seeming to help reduce the neural tension/tone (due to stress) that I think exacerbates the twisting/spasm and IBS,and (6) be reallly selective of the food you eat (don't eat foods that exacerbate these problems; I eat mostly fish and chicken, turkey, rice and potatoes). Using these various approaches collectively, I am now off Prilosec (took about a month to titrate the Prilosec dose down from 40 mg (2 tablets) at bedtime to nothing using these various auxillary treatments). I think the twisting symptoms are now much less intense, and I seldom have heartburn, than just a few weeks ago. My aim to gradually reduce these auxillary treatments and be symptom free; gonna keep down tritrating these treatment. These are some ideas that may help you.

I'm almost 13 years old too and I'm really scared. What should I do besides going to the doctor?

I'm scared, it's strange to have my stomach twist, that's what it feels like. I don't have nausea or b/m problems. I've read that I might be low on potassium. Does anyone have my same symptoms ?
