I wrote a while back that I had brown discharge from engaging in sexual activities.
I haven't this month, I had my period on the 14th of Feb, had a normal 6/7 day period and had normal discharge for a few days, then it's been brown since today and now it's normal. I have not taken part in anything sexual this month so far. I find this very odd. Do I have an infection or something?

It's becoming very weird! It stopped, and now I just found some blood and i'm not due a period for a while. I had a bit of a "funny" period last month which was just like this and it stopped. Is it the same or something else?

Also I have had no sexual contact this month, so I can't possibly be pregnant as I had my period.

Hi honey! I know you are a virgin but I'm just wondering if you are on any BCP? Below is a list of things that can affect your period or bring on vaginal bleeding!
1. Stress - HUGE reason for breakthrough bleeding or stopping your period and making it wonky?
2. Diet - not enough or too many calories! When you put your body into hybernation this can really afect bleeding?
3. Exercise - TOO much can really play havoc with your cycle?
4. Infection - Due to the fact that you have not had penetration it is highly unlikely that you have a vaginal infection! Brown blood is old blood! And IF you had infections you would DEFINITELY know it!
5. Hormonal imbalance! These can be from certain medications, thyroid problems, cystic ovaries, endometriosis!
So since this has gone on for about 2 months now! I think it's time for you to get checked out by your doctor! He/she needs to do a pap test on you - to see if there is an infection! Also perhaps a pelvic ultrasound to see if you are starting signs of an Ovarian Cyst - which you need to know happens in MANY women and a lot of times they disappear by themselves!
Let me know how you make out OK? Good luck honey!

I'm currently not on birth control, and I never have been as I've never had sex or prepared to have sex yet.
It could be stress as i've been under alot lately! But this time its slightly darker, and has lasted longer than last month. Also, I have noticed red spots also plus the brown discharge!
I have a fear it could be an infection or a cyst, but like I said I haven't been doing anything this month which could have made me have an infection.
I'll have a word with my mum and get myself down to the doctors sometime this week. :-)

Just been toilet and now its like a normal watery type period! It's bright red, so could it be possible to have an earlier period than expected? Because that would explain the brown discharge maybe???

Oh definitely honey! Periods can ALWAYS catch you off guard! IT sometimes JUST happens! For no reason - and other times their i a reason for it! IF you don't feel well or smell a nasty discharge then you definitely need to get checked out!!! That's why I always tell girls/women to carry protection, because you just never know when it will strike! ESPECIALLY if you are a teenager! I have and so many people have had HORROR stories!

It wasn't nasty smelling, I was just wondering why I was getting dark brown/red discharge and then suddenly, a period happened! How strange.

Actually honey when I used to get my periods that is ALWAYS the way it was! Brown blood is old blood, so your body gets rid of the old lining then the rest of it follows! So to me this sounds normal!
