Hey. Even i get those fast feelings at times. Like everything is going realky fast, and even things which are going normal seem fast to me. Is it because of anxiety?

Exactly it’s as though someone hits fast forward on the world but nothing physically speeds up its more of a sensation. I become acutely aware of sounds and movements, both mine and anything around me. It’s ahopene to me since I was about 6 or 7 I had the mumps and was very ill. I lay in bed suffering then suddenly everything felt like it sped up. It’s very difficult to put into words as you guys know. I have never worried about it or felt any uncomfort from it, yet it’s a very odd feeling. It usually happens to me in bed or watching tv or any time I’m chilled. This is an odd way of describing it but it’s like the way movies portray people on coke. Visually everything is normal but audibly and sensory it seems faster and louder or brighter.

Has anyone found out what this is? I used to get this all the time. Came back two years ago I even had an MRI and other brain tests done but all came back normal. They pretty much swept it under the rug. Sigh. Tonight my 3 year old is crying saying everything is moving so fast. This is the third time this Has happened. Thinking of calling the doctor. Anyone have any information on this ? Help please. Thanks so much

Hi..I also get this when I have fever but it's quite different from yours though.. but I had the same effect like you said the fast feeling. I used to see some vivid images in my head that's difficult to explain and I get feared and cry but I don't know what I'm afraid of.

I just had one of these "episodes". I used to have them all the time as a kid (I'm 40 now). I think low blood sugar has something to do with it as i'm hungry right now. It's not really unpleasant just weird. I'll have to see if it happens again the next time i get hungry to point of not feeling good.

Ooh dude. Me too. I still have them. But only if I am sick. Is that your case too? I also experience like that everything goes faster. And that things gets kinda louder and disgusting. Everything I held in my hand also felt heavier and weird and disgusting to touch. My fingers where thicker. And my speech was weird. I also saw a weird field of view. Like everything I saw went in and out and in and out. And all the texts I saw around. Went bigger and smaller. And bigger and smaller. And so on. Did you also experience this?

Yes hello. When I was a child. I was sick quite often. And I also had this ‘everything goes fast thing’ I remember always going to my mother and said the exact thing -mom. Everything is going so fast. And now I am 14. And a rarely experience this anymore. However I talked to my brother a while ago. And he said that he had experienced that too when he was younger. I don’t think it’s dangerous tho. But the experience can be quite intense. Also ‘when I was in this condition’ everything I held in my hand. Felt heavier and weird. And the text I saw was going in and out. All the time. Bigger and and smaller and so on. So my theory is just that it is a genetic thing. And that it happens mostly when you’re under a fever. Or just really sick. But not dangerous.

I have tried to research it up what causes it because I have the exact same thing happening to me. Mine last normally about 4 minuets and everything seems fast and quick like I have to rush everything. I had it when I was a kid about 4 years old and now I still get it quite frequently.

Wow I cannot believe that so many other people have felt this. I am also awestruck at the description of symptoms. I have struggled to explain this to a couple people. When I was about 10 years old I tried to explain it to my dad. The only way I could explain it then was that it was like everything was yelling at me. When I was a child it was absolutely terrifying to me. The feeling that I was small and everything was far away was so overwhelming that I would close my eyes and try to overcome it. My dad looked at me like I was crazy and kinda made fun of me for awhile after, so I didn't tell anyone else until a couple months ago when I tried to explain it to my brother. I'm 29 now and it hasn't happened for several years. It seems like the older I get, the less frequently it occurs.

Im have this feeling also. And I've always been very worried about it. It feels like everything is moving so quickly, and as if things around me are getting bigger even though I do know they're not. I always put them off as a certain type of panic attack maybe. Im 15 and ever since I was very little its happened, it happens at least once a day.
Ive asked people I know about it but they dont seem to know what I'm talking about. I was always worried there was something wrong with me but it's nice to know I'm not alone
It seems like what triggers it for me sometimes is loud noises, crowds, being alone, or when I think about them. But sometimes they're completely random. They always only last a few minutes, sometimes they do occur a few times in a row, one after the other. I dont really understand it. But I'd like to

I'm having one as I'm typing this. I feel like everything is louder and I feel like I'm pressing down on the keys really hard, but I don't know how this happens or what triggers it.
