I had a history of UTI's my first 4 years of marriage , but in the last 4 years I have not had any. I had my first baby 16 weeks ago. I am not taking any kind of birth control and haven't for 7 years. It was a vaginal birth with a 3rd degree tare on my peradiem (not sure how to spell that). I had an epidural and of course a catheter. Because of the tare being as bad as it was my husband and I didn't attempt intercourse till about 10 weeks postpartum. I am rather sure that the area in question had some serious trauma because I had a calcification form on my clitoris a week after delivery the Dr. said it was most likely from the stress of delivery. Intercourse however causes extreme pain on my urethra. My urethra has been sensitive to touch since having the UTI's. But this isn't sensitive this is pain. So, is this normal? Does it go away? Are there other people out there that have been through the same thing postpartum?

Hi there, I am wondering if the sensitivity isn't due to the fact that your'e no longer having so many UTIs which I think might be related. I'm going to see if anyone else posts with ismilar issues. Has anyone else experienced this?

I have been having the same pains, I am 10 weeks pp. I went to my 6 week check they said i'm healed but I'm having extreme urethra pain after urinating and when turned on, It gets me out of the mood with my fiance cuz it hurts so bad. Ive never had history of uti's so I don't think its that hun. I managed to finally get another checkup at end of month so I'll let you know what they say and hope you figure out whats up. Best of wishes
