I have recently had unprotected sex with a man who I am not in a "real" realtionship with. We have a "friends with benefits" relationship. On Friday I noticed a little vaginal itchiness, but it had happened before so I thought it would go away. It has since gotten worse. It's dry, itchy, sore, and swollen. It hurts to urinate, it's uncomfortable to walk, and it's painful to the touch. I would like any ideas on what it might be, and I would like to know if I should go to a doctor or wait it out and see what happens.

I would suggest going to the doctor as well as talking to your partner.

It may be from lack of lubrication.. but it could be something else. As infection of some sort.

Unprotected sex is like russian roulete and should never be taken lightly, it makes you and your partner vulneralbe to all sorts of infections and diseases, unless you are both tested regularly there is no 100% guarentee that he or you are not carrying something. Lets not even mention the pregnancy risk.

Urinary tract infections are a common problem if both people are not clean and do not clean up afterwards. STDs are another HUGE problem and you do not have to have an active breakout to be contagious.
