Alright, I am in Italy for the time being and have had PROTECTED sex with one Italian in early October. However, he performed oral sex on me without any protection for my area about 2-3times. The last time we saw eachother we kissed and I found out he gets cold sores (of course, he has not been tested and was terribly offended when i suggested he be) in the winter time, became SUPER SCARED and ended our relationship...about a week later I began to get what I suspected may have been a cold sore. I bought cream immediatly and it subsided before any definate appearance came up. Basically what I am getting at it: Could his cold sore have infected my genitals with Herpes? I have of course been inspecting the area frequently these past 2 months and have not seen any "blister-like" appearances, although I do get plenty of (non-clustered) pimples (i pop and see pus then blood) and in-grown hairs (which I also pop and remove the underlying hair follicule). I am a little paranoid and have been unable to be tested as I am in Italy and have not returned to the states yet; I am not confidant in the Italian testing methods or accuracy. Please help ease my mind with an answer either way. Thanks! 8-|

You most certainly can get vaginal herpes from oral herpes contact. Herpes is herpes, although you can cure them on the mouth, once it meets the vaginal/penile area, it is a huge risk to possibly contract it at a later time. I would advise you to get tested once back into the states, as you can have the disease with no occuring symptoms/or symptoms can show up later or at future time.
