My vagina is itching on the inside and on the opening, as though I had a yeast infection but not quite that intense. It burns a little bit too. In addition to this, I am feeling kind of a stabbing pain but its not very intense and only happens occasionally. It sounds worse than it actually feels.
However, I am having trouble urinating. I can start a urine stream with no weird feeling or pain, but always at the end, I get intense pain in my lower abdomen and in the hole where my pee comes from. I have to stop urinating and slowly try to finish. But I know that I can't be fully emptying my bladder like this.
I will tell you that I had an abortion last summer, (the pill / medicinal abortion). I know you can get PID from that, but I don't have any idea if that's what I have or not. I have been having pain in my lower abdomen / pelvic area / ovaries since the abortion, but I don't have any money for a doctor to find out what's going on. I would think that it was just PID but, I have a new sexual partner.
We had sex protected and unprotected in the same night, and the very next day is when I started feeling the painful urination. I know that it could be an STI (STD) however I was under the impression that I wouldn't be experiencing symptoms until at LEAST 2 days later. I felt this way the very next day. I have no idea what to think.
I also began my period (it was due) the day after the sex, and it seems like a pretty normal period.
So my main symptoms are in this order: painful urination, itching vagina and abdominal pain.
Do you think maybe I have some kind of vaginal infection, or does it sound more like an STI/STD or does it sound more like PID?
I've always felt kind of funny after having sex with a latex condom, but usually that funny feeling goes away after a couple of hours. So I don't think I'm having an allergic reaction, but then again I don't know.
I checked WebMd for a solution, but it suggests I have a UTI. I am taking UTI medication, and yeast infection medication too (just the pills, not the cream) but I don't know if that's going to address my problem.
I'm going to try to go to a free clinic, but I wont have results for 2 weeks anyway, so I really would appreciate some suggestions as to what it might be so I can prepare myself and my sexual partner.

Unfortunately I don't have any answers for you, but what you've described is exactly the problem I'm having.
I'm going to see my GP to make a start on tests, etc and I'd suggest you do the same.

Guys, I also have this issue. About three months ago I started to feel this burning after urination and it really bothers me. It goes away than it returns, etc. I was sure that I got some bacterial infection since I didn't have an intercourse in the past three months or when this all started to happen. So, I went to see my doctor. We did a bunch of tests and nothing, nothing that can tell me what is my problem. So, from this point of view, I can say that I am really desperate since I don't know how to treat it. I consume teas, I eat regularly and nothing. It must be something...

ATTENTION Just thought i would reply to this post in case anyone else views it The pain you are feeling when your are about to finish peeing is a UTI ( urinary tract infection ) It rarely goes away on its own so you need to see a doctor for antibiotics. I feel for you on this one as i had it once and left it alone because i thought it would go away but it didnt it got worse. You will find that you end up needing to pee every few minutes so you are in more and more pain and more frequently. I ended up in hospital because of mine it got to the point i was pretty much peeing pure blood.If left untreated it can make its way to your kidney and eventually your kidneys will become infected and start to damage and even shut them down. Ways to prevent this is to drink plenty of water and also pee before and after sex or any time anything is inserted into the vagina.As for the itching that is prob a yeast infection, vaginitis , vaginosis (most common) , std or sti. All of these need to be seen by a doctor. If left untreated some can lead to infertility. Again i actually have this at the moment (thats how i found this post)It can progress fast or slow. If slow go to the doctor dont wait till it gets bad. Mine was fast. Within 2 days my vagina was and still it so itchy that i have scratched my vagina that bad that i have scratched 2-3 layers of skin away to the point its bleeding and so swollen. I have a HIGH and i mean HIGH tolerance for pain but this is driving me insane. I literally cant sleep and have cried so hard because of the pain and frustration. I went to the doctor today and they took swabs from inside the vagina and i will get my results soon , but i am business admin medical so i need to know medical terms, symptoms ect and i know it is vaginosis. i did suspect thrush and used the cream with no helpIf you are having any problems dont be ashamed or embarrassed to go to the doctor. you are not the first or last to go there for it. and they will not remember you in a few months anyways so you go , get diagnosed , get better and no memories. Or you could not go and end up like me. Please Please just go to the doctor.

Just a bit worried abt my state ... ive been having a problem of bleeding within a gap of 3 days for a week or may b more than 10days . its smells bad a.d the doc has advised me to do a Sonography which came that baby is laready aborted .. pls suggested wat to do ?? there is a bad abdominal pain and back pain as well
