I need help, for the past couple of months, I've been getting these bumps on my vagina and after awhile, they are so filled with pus that it hurts. Usually there are only two or three of these large bumps, and they don't go away until way after my period. I'm only 18, and I've never had sex. What is this? Am I the only person this happens to? :'(

These bumps are likely boils, which can occur anywhere on the body but tend to appear in the groin, underarm & genital areas. You can search boils in a search engine for more info. Boils are a sign of hormonal changes, sometimes due to dietarty changes or sugar level fluctuation. I get them particularly when I've had too much sugar. If they become really big, your gyn can drain them & try to get the core out. You might be tested for diabetes and become more concerned w/your diet. One thing more about boils... you want to allow them to drain on their own. If you squeeze them and the pus goes back into your bloodstream, you may create an infection in other parts of your body and even your brain, so be careful.

I had these off and on for years. Not herpes or other STD. Had a doctor lance one and he said no biggie and said many people get these and they don't know why.

These increased in frequency after I had a traumatic event and after several years my naturalpathic and I tried a gluten free diet. I noticed a difference in a month. Lots of health issues I had had over my life and had increase after the traumatic event, had now disappeared. Issues like high blood sugar and cholesterol levels, migraine headaches, an itchy rash, inflammation (puffiness), and fast onset of diarrhea, depression, and hormonal issues.

Anyway another positive effect of going off wheat, barley, rye and oats was that I no longer have the blood filled cysts or what-have-you. I've never seen this mentioned in all the Gluten-free websites and the subject of Celiac disease. However I feel it is definitively related!

Read up on Celiac disease. There is a blood test for it also.

As with any change in diet - consult your doctor first.

These boils are known among most of the women in my family and the "old time" cure according to family traditions is to strap a piece of salt pork bacon to your leg or outer vaginal area and go to through and then by morning it will open because the salt and such draws the pus up. But, when I traveled to Europe I found a better cure for such boils - magnesium sulfate paste. It really works wonders. The boils seem to be more prevalent during the winter months and to be stress and hormonally induced. But other than that are just really uncomfortable. If they get too big the pus and blood inside can putrefy - that's really the only concern and I have seen it happen before with someone else and you know because when it opens it will smell horrifically bad. But, really no biggy.. just normal body stuff.

I was just wondering if anyone else suffered from these as well. I had a dr. tell me it was an STD... My hubby was my "first" and I was his... so I knew it was not likely. I believe it does have to do w/ the hormonal change as well. One way I have found to deal w/ this is to get a HOT wet wash rag and hold it on the bump. it will soften the skin and bring it to the surface... then you can gently squeeze it to relieve the pressure pain. Also, does anyone experience yeast infection type symptoms during the few days before you start?

It also happens to me, I am wondering what this is, I'm 15 and not sexually active. So I believe it s more hormonal than anything

this has happened to me twice, when it starts getting uncomfortable i draw a hot bath drop a few cap fulls of vinegar in the water and just sit and relax for about 30 minutes. When I get out, it starts to drain on its own. As soon as it drains the pain is gone.

Hello! This is perfectly normal! It's just a hormonal change and imbalance. It will go away when your regular hormones come back. You will start to get them on your face, nose and other areas when you get older so you are fine.

Whew!!!! I thought I was the only one whom had this. I thought it was herpes from what my doctor told me. So I've went along with it. So researched herpes nd I thought to myself that mines don't look like Small blisters. It's looks like a boil. Nd it's filled with pus.  So now I'm now researched this. Nd I'm still going to get a second opinion from another doctor.

Could possibly be hydradenitis suppurativa disease. Only a mild case though. It will give the puss filled bumps that are painful. It seams to have something to do with hormones and immune system. Would hurt to ask your doctor.
