Hi. My friend has been experiencing some blisters on his legs. Doctors suspect on vasculitis as a possible cause of this. I was wondering if this is possible. Can blisters be presentation of this? I would really appreciate if someone could tell me something more about this. Thank you in advance.

Hi, there. Vasculitis is the inflammation of blood vessels. It is the autoimmune disorder. The usual manifestation is purpure. It is raised, but not blanchable erythema. It is caused by extravasation of red cells outside of blood vessels. Other manifestations are also possible. Blisters are one of them. There can also be red macules, papules, nodules or ulcers. Your friend should do more tests.
