For years I have had small "cysts" that are very hard on the hairline area near my labia. One time I cut one of the bumps open and it was filled with dry cheesy substance like an old pimple. I cleaned that area thoroughly after I cut the bump open and put topical neosporin on it as it healed. It seems that ever since i cut it opened, the hairline area and those bumps itch like mad. I thought maybe it was genital herpes, but someone said that herpes do not usually itch, and they are more like fluid filled blisters. These are more like hard cysts that squeezing won't pop open. it always feels like little bugs are crawling along the hairline and It makes me itch intensely. Any idea what it could be. the VAGINA does not itch or anywhere near the opening, just the inner hairline area.

i have the same itching, especially at night. It gets so bad sometimes that it wakes me up. I've found that anti-itch cortizone cream helps for a while and then if I keep my hair shaved off it doesn't' bother me as much. I'm not really one to keep it bald, but if it keeps it from itching then I'm gonna do it. Everything I've seen online leads me to believe that it's just an allergic reaction to detergents and my panties.

I was looking for the answer to this, too, and found this thread had no replies. I am fairly sure the problem is 'fordyce spots', which are neither symptoms of STD's nor infectious. I hope this helps the next person who worries about this.

The Itch that won't quit. I have had this for so long, years. Been to see many doctors. These were their diagnosis and advice.
Ingrown hairs, scratch it enough and it will go away, stop smoking, and the grand finale Molluscum Contagiosum. Drawers full of every creme imaginable. I do not use soap in the area, wear cotton panties, no tight restrictive clothing. It is so annoying. I have given up on Doctors. Research has yielded little to no results. Seems many of us have the same issue. You would think someone would have a solution.

I have been suffering with this problem and have had success with tea tree oil and apple cider vinegar. Don’t know if this has gone away but the itching is SO much better.
