Immediate relief: go get some Tea Tree Oil at Wal-Mart or a health-food store (some supermarkets now carry it, too). You can use it full-strength or dilute it with a little warm water. Use a cotton ball (or some tissue) to bathe the area with the Oil. Do not reuse the cotton balls or tissues! It may tingle a little (but not burn), depending on how irritated your skin is, but should be a real relief--right away. Keep using this until you get better.
If you go to your dr., you will probably get an antifungal cream. Remember, doctors don't know a lot about natural remedies or nutrition, b/c they only get one semester on these subjects. Besides, they are (unfortunately) educated to "push pills."
The chief reason a woman gets a yeast infection is DIET and the overall pH of her individual body. Eat more alkalinizing foods and lay off sugars of all kinds; sugar directly feeds yeasts like candida. Educate yourself! Best wishes.
