Hi,

I am 19 and I've had bumps that are pimple-like on the scrotum for about 5-6 years now. The majority of them are rather small but there are spots where they cluster to make larger bumps. I have never had sex and now that I am considering it am worried that I may have a disease that I can transmit to my partner.

The bumps are constant and don't go through cycles of weeks/days like is common in herpes that I've read about, so I'm really hoping it isn't that.

Anyone with similar symptoms or an idea to what it might be or a way to fix it please let me know.

Thank you.

I've noticed the same thing as well, I too am 19 and am trying to figure out what it is. I have only noticed this for a few months though, and only a couple of bumps at a time. They seem to flare up a lot when I shave (I have done this twice now) and it scares me that I might have an STD (even though I have never had sex) I have no idea how to make them go away either, help would be great...

HI:

Please don't continue to risk your future health as well as the health of an unsuspecting partner. If you've never had sex, how do you believe you would have contracted herpes. Could it be something else? The ONLY solution is to get tested, which I believe you can do at free clinics as well as with your personal doctor. Do this first, and do it now.....please

The condition described in all these teenage cases sounds very much like folliculitus. Wash with antibacterial soap every single day. It is not a serious condition but it is a debilitating one. Don't let clothes rub the area (tight jeans etc). Avoid touching then touching somewhere else. See your doctor for a possible antibiotic cream
