I was given a blood rest for herpes about 4 years ago. The results came back positive for HSV1 and HSV2. I only remember one occurence when I suffered from pain in the genital area. I was during sex I developed small bumps covering the vaginal area where penetration occurs. I asked my partner to stop due to the discomfort. The bumps and pain where gone literally in a matter of hrs. I took a nap and when I woke up they where gone.This was quite some time before being tested. I do have discharge but thats not new, I have been suffering from vaginal discharge since I got got my first period at 13 I am now 31. My question is how accurate are these test results. I read somewhere that the chickenpox antibodies can be mistaken for herpes. I had the chickenpox when I was 19 and only suffered from two bumps on my face, could this be of any significance. Shold I be retested?
