Hi, I injured my foot wakeboarding 5 days ago. I was diagnosed with a small fracture and lisfranc. After it happened I thought it was just a pulled muscle and pain was minimal so continued to do watersports for the afternoon, was a little sore that afternoon and then quite painful that night as I had kept full weight on it for the rest of the afternoon and evening. Next day pain was mild, went to see a GP - was put in a moon boot with crutches etc, finally saw a specialist yesterday. The specialist was very difficult to have a proper conversation with regarding my options which was quite frustrating but advised he recommended surgery, as I have not been baring any weight on the foot since the day after the injury it has been pain free, and today I have been partial weight baring and again no pain. Wanting to hear some advice from people that have gone both ways - surgery and no surgery, The surgery looks quite invasive and to be honest looks like it could cause more pain after than just leaving it be, I guess as it has zero pain for me now I don't like that option - any stories and feedback from others that have or haven't had surgery would be great.
