Well i had my Lisfranc surgery (Right foot) on Thursday 11/13/08. Doc was honest with me. He wasnt sure how bad my foot was. He booked the or room for 2 1/2 hrs. That way if he had to fusion the bones he had time. GREAT NEWS! He only had to place one pin in my foot. He said i was very lucky. That he was exspecting a lot worse acording to the CT. I was told i would have to stay over night but i didnt. Surgery took 30 min (3-3:30pm) and i was sent home by 5 or so. The pain was not that bad. But my toes. What a mess. They hurt so bad. They were swollen very very very bad till this morning (Sat). It really got me worried that is how bad and i have worked in the medical field for 9 yrs. There not bad now. I have taken some percacet but prob wont need it anymore. Pains not bad really. I go back on Thursday for follow up. My foot is in a ace wrap. He will put a cast on it on Thursday. I will be non weight baring for 6-8 weeks then the boot like cast for 6-8 he said.

I went for my 1 week follow up this morning. Doc had me get xrays of my foot and said e verything looks great. What a great medical assistant he has. She unwrapped my ace wrap that i had on and washed my foot. Agh felt great after it being ace wrapped for a week. Next Wed i go and get the stitchs taken out. Then he said it will be safe to get the foot wet aka take a real shower. I was given a black ortho type shoe and am now able to "Heal walk" for 6 weeks. When he see's at my 6 week check up then i should be able to drive again (just had to be my right foot that i damage). He said i prob wont need the much talked about big boot cast.
