For the past 6 months or so, I have constipation throughout the week, then come the weekend I can't leave the house due to constant diarrhea. 

I had my gal bladder removed about 6 years ago and was told that I needed to avoid fatty, greasy foods. I do, for the most part. Those don't seem to make a difference during the week, though.

I have noticed that if I am off of my work schedule (vacation time or unexpected day off) I tend to have diarrhea. I thought that this was perhaps due to not having my typical weekday eating schedule. I eat the same thing for breakfast, morning snack, and lunch each day. An afternoon snack and dinner I change up. Come the weekend, I don't even get to my breakfast before I'm in the bathroom! So that doesn't seem to be the cause, either. I can't figure this out.

This is quite odd. Well for the most part keep up the non greasy diet. Also make sure u eat foods high in fibre for ur constipation. Maybe u are lacking fibre. And if this continues go see a doctor.

I am having the exact same problem. I am relating it to sleeping later and eating lat er. It seems to cause excess air in the colon.

I know this was a year ago, but did you ever figure out what was going on? I'm experiencing the same symptoms, so it can't JUST be a fluke thing....IDK what to do, it's frustrating as can be. Usually my Fridays are spent hunched over in pain as i feel things finally shifting in my intestines, usually accompanied by some serious gas... Not necessarily foul smelling, but just a lot of it! Then after 6-8 hours of pain i finally, blissfully empty a week's worth of waste from my bowels in varying degrees of viscosity....I've Literally weighed myself before and after, 7 lbs! I was amazed! Anyway I'm going on the 4th week of this pattern, now I'm debating a doctor appointment... But looking for anything to prepare me for what it COULD be. Thanks in advance.
