what are side effects of tubal ligation after 10 years?

I had my tubal little over 10 years ago. The last year and a half I've been dealing w/cramping & periods lasting anywhere from 7-10 days as opposed to normally having 5 days. About 3 or 4 of those days are so heavy. I'm depressed, fustrated & have mood swings you wouldn't believe (my poor family lol). I thought about getting the Novasure procedure done but after reading everything I'm not so sure now. My ex-mother in law had it and had to have a hysterectamy. She said hers started the same way. Also from time to time I'm starting to get sists. Any thoughts about this? I also see on this site women saying don't get the hysterectamy. I know women w/hysterectamy & they are happy. I'm confused. :'(

I'm 36 have noooooooooo desire to have any more children I have 3 which is why I have the tubal but having my cycle for 2 weeks & only geting 10-15 day break is driving me crazy............

I haven't had 10 yrs in yet but I had a tubal ligation in 2007 and I already have all of those feelings..

I've only had my tubal a year and a half and I have those symptoms.. I'm 42 with two children. I have very large blood clots with my periods for about three days. My periods are brown for the first two days ugh. then the last two days also. They tell me that's old blood. Nasty. What is old blood still doing up there? I'm concern because this month after my period I got this terrible yeast infection. Nasty. My body is telling me something and it's time for the doctors to listen.

I'm confused too. This has driven me crazy. I'm about to take me a gyn doctor hostage until they find out the problem, lol.

I had the same procedure done 10yrs ago, will be 11yrs in april. I am having the same problems as you have listed above and more. Cysts are bad, I had 3 that burst at one time and it put me in the hospital with a infection in my uterus. Now a month after the infection is gone I have not had my period at all. Now I am worrying that my tubical may have failed and I might be pregnant. So after going through all these problems from getting my tubical it may have reversed itself after 10yrs! my doctor wont listen when I tell him all the problems I have. Ms T in kansas

I must add that I have been getting cysts for a while. I can’t say exactly how long. I found out I had a cyst in Jan. 2019. I get extremely painful cramps during my menstrual cycle as well as blood clots. The smell of my menstrual cycle make me nauseoua. I get emotional whether it be angry, sad, happy, etc. I gave birth to a little girl in 2014 and had a parkland tubal ligation shortly after. I want another child but after reading all comments on this post, I'm worried something may be wrong.
