Someone in my circle of friends has been affected by multiple sclerosis, the progressive form, I think. Multiple sclerosis has always been a total mystery to me, as I think so many things can go wrong with your body when you have MS, and even doctors are not fully aware what causes MS. What can happen when a multiple sclerosis attack affects the brain areas? Can MS be fatal?

Brain lesions can affect any part of the white matter around, and anything can happen. Nerves can be damaged and many functions of the body can be interrupted or ceased altogether. The most difficult aspect of multiple sclerosis is that such attacks can strike with no notice at all, and there is no cure for MS.
