What could be the reasons for swollen breasts only 9 days af

This has been happening to me too lately, though me and the boyfriend didn't really have penetrative sex. I've been off of this hormone balancing herb for the past couple of months and that's when I experienced a lot of extra breast tenderness. Keep in mind, your breasts can get tender just before your period, during your period (as in menstruation), just before ovulation, during ovulation, and after ovulation...so that's what? let's say 4 days average for mentruation, 7 days for week before symptoms, plus about 7 days for the fertile cycle= 18 days. That's sore boobage the whole month through....oh the joy of being a woman. We need RISUG pronto!

HI... this is rosny... im 24 years old and im married too. i hav sum issue on my breast, usually my breast goes on swollen and i need to take vitamin "c" afta taking for 2 or 3 dazz of vitamin "c" its come on normal. i am just fed off it and getting panic, is this huge issue or normal plzzz do infrm me. plzz plzz

Hey Kath, did you get a response as to what it is or was? I have the exact problem, but my tests are negative for preganacy and I am still having a slight period ( 14th day now, I stopped on the 8th and started back up on the 13th day). My breasts are still heavy feeling and sore, not very hard though. I am on Impalnon, birth control, and I only had sex 2 times with my boyfriend the 2 days Before my period started (16 days ago). I haven't gained any weight or craved anything unusual. I have been preganant before and I know my symtoms, usually smeel gets me first, sensitivity to smell. But it's just my breasts. And I'm losing wieght not gaining. I haven't seen any other advice on here about this subject and it seems like everyone else has the same concern, hopefully you got some solid answers from your predicament.

According to the U.S. National Library of Medicine, hormones are the most common cause of breast tenderness and swelling. Tenderness surrounding menstruation is referred to as cyclical breast pain and is no cause for concern. However, hormones work in other ways as well. Girls who are nearing puberty, menopausal women and pregnant women can all expect some breast tenderness and swelling at odd times throughout the month. Hormonal medications like estrogen treatments or birth control pills will have the same unpredictable results.

I'm scared too-my breasts started swelling only 9 days after my period when they wouldn't usually til about day 20. I've been trawling the Internet researching the early signs if pregnancy and am convinced I am (through unprotected sex during ovulation- it was the most stupid thing I've ever done in my life). I guess all I can do now is wait and stress until my period arrives or doesn't and it's late enough to test. I feel your pain guys.

Hi all. I thought it useful to reply to my own comment here and confirm that I did NOT end up being pregnant. I got my period yesterday, which was 1 day late. So... The reason for my symptoms? N.B: STRESS! At the same time that I had unprotected stress I also experienced a traumatic upheaval in my home life and essentially a " break up" with that man so the swollen breasts a few days after would have been a product of a hormonal imbalance caused by stress. What followed was a whole string of stress symptoms (interestingly the SAME as early pregnancy ones- nausea, fatigue, pelvic pain, frequent urination etc) so in effect I was having anxiety/panic symptoms over the anxiety of being pregnant. In psychology this is called "catastrophizing." This has been a real eye opener to me on just how many effects stress can have on your body! Take care of yourselves girls!

Ok I'm extremely scared, I had sex a few weeks ago, I got my period the next day, and it was a day early.. Now about two weeks later my breast are sooo sore and swollen. Usually I get swollen breast a week before my period, now we did have protected sex. And this is the first time I've had sex in about 6-7 months. I normally dont freak out because I know my body but this isn't normal for me. Now that I'm browsing the net and it could possibly be what I fear the most, I'm going to get a test this week. I don't want kids right now and thinking of this possibility makes we want to throw up right :(

Hey same here! My girls have been killing me and are super swollen for like a week now. My period is usually the 2nd or 3rd of the month... It's the 21st now. My boyfriend and I have been humping like lil jack rabbits all this month. ahahha! I don't use any kind of BC and I've been pregnant by him 3 times but miscarried the last two. Sooo. We wonder if it's gonna ever happen again. It's been like 2yrs we've been trying. My mom has had 7 kids and she said she KNEW she was pregnant everytime because her girls would swell and were really sore. Take a p-test. I always drink caffeine 1-2 iced coffees a day and I am drinking a delicious mountain dew now and never had boobie soreness or swelling before "because of too much caffeine" doctors I swear just give you a reason because they don't really know either, and they HAVE to tell you SOMETHING to get that moneyyy! Lol. Idk. They're a waste of money sometimes. Only time my girls have been like this was when I was pregnant or right before and on my period.

I had sex 2 days before my period start but my pd finish sept 19 but only for 4days but the last day was lil bit and since that day I been having sex with my husband and now my breast are swollen and feel little bit of cramps but I ovulate on the 30 should I be pregnant

It is not strange at all. The female reproductive system is working correctly.... You had sex with your mate then the hormones released into you blood stem sent a message to increase the size of your breasts to either attract your mate to copulate with you again or attract another mate to copulate with you for the best possible genes. I was with a female and we would lay around and make love all day. Her breasts would become so swollen and sensitive we had to go to the ER several times to make sure she was not suffering from a tubal pregnancy. Hot heavy sex can in fact cause your breasts to swell. Especially if you are doing it 8 to 10 times a day. A doctors 2 cents

omg!!!! the same thing on my end my period cam last month but this mom i got something looking like a period but it wasent that heavy its was light and i learnt it was implantation bleeding i did two exams with the blood and the urine but they both cam back negative we are all in the same boat wish i can get some answers

After my menstrual cycle, I have unprotected sex for 3 days and he even cums in me and I don't get pregnant. I learned from my girl cousin that right after your period like 1-3 days, you won't get pregnant. It was proven VERY TRUE. I read that weight loss, stress, etc. can cause this to your breast and the way your period comes.
