I'm 14 years old and I have the temper of a Bipolar 30 year old veteran. I have noticed that when I get mad I start crying. I always said that, "I cry when I get mad", but recently I was in the car with my mom arguing and I had trouble breathing. It felt as if my throat was closing and I started crying. I didn't intentionally cry, it just happened and my mom started to ask me why I was crying and I told her "I don't know why I'm crying, but I can't breath and I'm freaking out" and she says "your anxiety is high. you need to calm down" .. So my question is, what might be wrong with me? Why do I have trouble breathing and crying when I get mad or when I am faced with difficulty? Please help, I don't like the feeling and I want to fix it.

Hi Tashay, fist i would have to say to you that although this probley isn't what you want to hear. You are 14 and when i was 14 i was the same way.It's just your hormonal changes and your body is still developing . Also if you are going through any family problems,Or you witnessed either one of your parents having issues this could be a major factor.Hope this helps. when i was your age i just made some best friends and spent a lot of time in my room jornaling. if you journal your feelings, either writing your thoughts down so that you can see what you are feeling and why it may help you or by writing to God, knowing that he can help you through your struggles and stress. Everything will be ok. you just gotta get past the next couple years and you will find that these feelings will have calmed down a whole lot. Best of luck to you and God Bless you.

now its when ever someone makes me really mad I have trouble breathing and have to take deep breaths...the main thing is i have to get away from the person making me feel this way...it will not end when you get older ...certain people will bring this on ....i'm still having trouble figuring out what this is called.
