Hi, Arturo.
Left shoulder blade pain that radiates into the elbow can be caused by a variety of conditions. Here are a few possible causes:
-
Rotator cuff injury: The rotator cuff is a group of muscles and tendons that surround the shoulder joint. Injury to the rotator cuff can cause pain in the shoulder blade that can radiate down the arm to the elbow.
-
Shoulder impingement syndrome: This condition occurs when the tendons or bursa in the shoulder become compressed or pinched, causing pain in the shoulder blade that can radiate down the arm.
-
Cervical radiculopathy: This is a condition where the nerve roots in the neck become compressed or irritated, causing pain that can radiate into the shoulder blade and down the arm to the elbow.
-
Thoracic outlet syndrome: This is a condition where the nerves and blood vessels that travel between the neck and arm become compressed, causing pain in the shoulder blade that can radiate down the arm.
-
Shoulder arthritis: Arthritis in the shoulder joint can cause pain in the shoulder blade that can radiate down the arm to the elbow.
You mentioned sleeping position. Can you change it for a few days to see what will happen?
