Good day everyone. I did some research a few days ago about serum lipid levels. My wife is having problem with it and I think that nothing is helping her. I mean, whatever she tries – it is a fail and she needs to find another cure.
Doctors don’t want to tell me a lot about it so I decided to try to find something alone. But guess what – nothing.
Can you tell me what is normal serum lipid level and what are the ways to maintain it? If you have any information let me know.
Thank you very much.

Good day.
I am afraid that I don’t know what are the normal serum lipid levels, but I do know how to maintain it. There is one amazing way – choose the foods in your diet that have been shown to reduce bad cholesterol and to raise good cholesterol levels.
You probably already know that bad cholesterol is responsible for plaque formation and good cholesterol may carry cholesterol away from the arteries to the liver for elimination from your body. This is one way to reduce heart attack risk.
So, eat olive oils, peanut, canola, omega 3 fatty acids from walnuts, flaxseed, salmon etc.

Hello guys.
Look The Big Z, it is very important to learn how to understand serum lipid levels. I suggest you to see somewhere what this is exactly and how this can affect your body and you health. I am pretty sure that I have read somewhere that less than 100 mg/dl is optimal level, from 101 to 150 is normal, from 150 to 199 is borderline, from 200 to 499 is high and from 500 or even higher is very high.
This is a table that my friend gave me a few months ago and it is still on my fridge. Whenever I forget I take a look at it.

Hey there guys. I am really happy because you have tried to tell me about it but I need to confess you that I don’t know that much about it. And I need to tell you that I still don’t understand it very well. Ok, I now see what are normal serum lipid levels but I am afraid that I still don’t know how to maintain it. And I would really love to know it.
Maybe I am a little bit boring to you, but I beg you to understand me.
I am going to see her doctor tomorrow and I will probably get some instructions, but I really want someone in here to help me, preferably if you had experience with it.

Hi everyone.
Of course that you are not boring at all. We are here to help each other as much as we can. I will try to explain with plain, not medical language.
Here is what you need to know if you want to try to keep your cholesterol levels within healthy ranges. There are a couple steps how to maintain it.
So, try to be physically active for at least 30 minutes. Also, you need to try to lose your weight if you are overweight.
Try to eat more whole grains, at least 30 grams per day. Increase your intake of poly and mono – unsaturated fatty acids.
I mean, tell this to your wife.
Good luck.
