I am on 600 mg 3 times aday of gabapenton  for electrical pain in my mouth and face.It is stopping the pain but i feel over dosed.I was on 900mg when I had an attack,I called a on call after hours doctor and she doubled the med.I am going to ask my doctor if I can try a lesser dose. If I have to stay on 1800mg forever is that to much, Can the drug cause any ill effects for life. I had trigeminal Nerology on the other side of my face .Gamma knife procedures stopped that. Now while chewing with ill fitted new dentures I have something similar on the other side of face only the pain doesnt shut off.

My feet and legs are swollen,my forehead aches and feels off.Will water pills help?
