I recently (for the past few of days) have had an extremely itchy vagina and very sore clitorus. I have never had a yeast infection, so i assumed it was that, so naturally i went to the drug store and got some monistat stuff. it hasnt been working, its still extremely itchy and really my clit is painful. what else could it be? my discharge doesnt smell fishy or anything and im not sexually active. it literally came out of nowhere, i woke up went to change my tampon and realised how itchy it was. please help, what else could it be? ive never been to the gynecologist either, so im scared to go.

it could possibly be your allergic to tampons, maybe try not using them and see how that works out for you!?
By the way, being scared of people gets you no where in life, sometimes you just have to step up and do what you have to do.. Trust me its hard, I'm 22 years old and have had to go see the Gyn. Many times now due to the problems i have. You have to take care of yourself!!
