Well...she said it looked human..I am guessing that in size and shape..
I am eleminating the usual suspects...
Human size would be too big for oppossum or raccoon. I am thinking bear or dog family..coyote, wolves etc... However...dogs tend to do their doo doo in a pile..not the single lonley log laying out for all to see.. German Shephards make a huge pile..as do most large dogs.
I'm still thinking black bear..rooting around.

I was assuming she lived in a relatively populated area and a bear roaming the neighborhood would be cause for a lot of commotion. They aren't exactly delicate when they are rooting around - they create a good bit of noise. My guess is coyote - they'll do the single t**d thing.

Yes, size and shape. However, I actually found two piles. One being considerably smaller in amount than the other but still "human like" in size and shape. Lord, I LOVE talking about poop! NOT!

Yes, I'm in a fairly populated area but somewhat far out in the 'burbs with still a possibility of a bear. However, as I said before, I doubt it would be a bear because in order for it to "go" where it did it would have had to climb a fence or crawl through a pretty tight space (although, a bear could squeeze through probably). I'm not saying it isn't a bear but I wouldn't think a bear would go to so much trouble...unless of course it was on one of those nights when our gate was left open. :|
