Until recently I didn’t know that there are all sorts of therapies that help with certain mental or emotional illnesses. Best known to me was the couch therapy which is associated with Sigmund Freud and is based on psychoanalysis. Recently I came upon the term “Interpersonal Psychotherapy”. Would anyone care to explain what it is? Thanks!

Different forms of psychotherapies all aim to find the best way to deal with someone’s problem, once it is identified. Interpersonal Psychotherapy, as the name implies, helps someone to improve on their poor social skills which are usually brought by stressful and painful situations with family members, friends and colleagues and best ways to overcome them.
