I'm 12 years old and perfectly healthy, but when I woke up this morning and went to the bathroom I noticed a thin, yellow, stringy substance around my stool. It makes my anus uncomfortable when I pass, and I'd like to find out what it is as early as possible.

Did you told anyone about this?

Your parents or someone else who you trust?

You should.

It is not soft, it is hard and yellow and it can be caused by a lot of different health issues. I really don't want to scare you, but it can vary from not dangerous to very dangerous.

Seek for the treatment in order to prevent some damage in the first place. I don't know do you have some symptoms, what you are eating, but you should know that anemia and dehydration also can result in yellow stool. Seek for help and proper treatment.
