I recently found out Im approximately 5 weeks pregnant and have had my first blood tests and an ECG. I have received a letter today asking me to make an appointment to see my doctor to discuss the blood tests. This is my first child and very very much wanted and now Im really worried as to why I would be called in. Is this normal????? Please help me, I have made the appointment for tomorrow, but really want to be forewarned. Many thanks...

Hi honey! Some doctors don't call you in and others do! Did you have the glucose test - fasting and then drinking a orange drink? Also is there ANYWAY you might have an STD? These are the main reasons of concern early in pregnancy! BUT the STI is VERY rare, and the Gestational Diabetes is VERY common! Are you overweight - it could be high cholesterol etc.! Due to the fact that you are early, it might just be more of a check up! Another thing that just came to mind, are you feeling VERY sick or have MORE pregnancy symptoms! Like seem further along than you are?
