Hi, I would like to know something about malocclusion. I have been suffering from it for almost a year now and it was symptomized with nothing more then slight discomfort but I have heard that it might become very complicated. Will malocclusion necessarily lead to TMJ syndrome? What can I do?

TMJ syndrome becomes as a result of constant pressure on the nerves that has occurred because of the problematic bone position of upper and lower jaws. It might also be a result of facial muscle tension. Whatever the causes, just for your own sake, go to a doctor and see what are your options at the moment. Perhaps nothing should be done and maybe you should act immediately!
