Even though it is rarer it does happen! Usually women ovulate at the same time each month - 14 days before the next period is due. usually the day before ovulation, the day of and the day after! BUT ALL of this can change due to other factors - the most common is sickness, too much exercise, certain medications etc. it can TOTALLY send her cycle off balance, even though she is having her period, the ovulation process could actually have started just before her period or the 1st day or so, thus some women getting pregnant during their periods! IF she hasn't had any of these I would say her chances of getting pregnant are a lot lower! Just know that ANYTIME there is unprotected sex you CAN get pregnant!
