Hi, I cant believe my recent medical history. 3 years ago I suffered Gall stones which was absolute agony.....I had my gall bladder taken out and then all was well until I suffered tonsilitis last year which ended in a tonsillectomy and a haemorrage a week later which required life saving surgery which robbed me of my taste for 9 months......see other posts. So thiss year I started getting pains in my left teste and was diagnosed with epididymitis and put on antibiotics. This subsequently and rather subtlely morphed into prostatitis and again antibiotics and alpha blockers were perscribed. So this week on my 3 month check up and in worse pain in my groin and lower back, I am told that the medication has not worked and I am to go in for an operation to look for possible cancer or any other causes.

I have only just been told this news and it has rocked my world. I hope someone out there can offer any advice, I have looked at sites and data about recovery and possibilities but having had symptoms that match chlamydia/prostatitis and prostate cancer for nearly 5/6 months I a worried that if it is cancer it will have been with me for some time.
