I had a regular physical and my platelet level came back at 96,000. I know 150,000 to 400,000 is normal. I am 36 years old no prior history of low platelets. In good health and 6'1" 185LBS.

I did have a staph infection in my foot at the time.

Would this cause my platelet levels to drop below normal?
