symptoms of red eye allergy

Wow, didn’t know that food is being dyed with all sorts of additives that cause food allergies. What would be the symptoms of red dye allergy for example? Does anybody know?

Hi there! Some experts wouldn’t call these reactions food allergies but food intolerance. I wouldn’t know about red dye exactly but all together food coloring can cause rashes, swelling, and trouble breathing. There are also some asthma reports, defiant, out-of-control, hyper reactions, hives and many others.

thank you very much. your post was very useful. My son every time he has surgery he comes homehyper and out of control. I suspect the dyes in th meds. He also has problems w/ fruit punch. We thought it was the sugar at first. Heis defiant andsoout of control. He turns into Dr. jeckel sand hyde. He is heaavy at 60 pounds and only 3.5 yrs old we can't handle him.
