Mayonnaise – Delicious But Malicious
Today, mayonnaise is used worldwide in fast foods, salads, and numerous other dishes. A lot of people, unwarily, eat mayonnaise in many different foods such as salads, sandwiches, and burgers. Before taking a bite, you must keep in mind that 100 grams of regular mayonnaise contains about 79 grams of fat. Rather than putting mayonnaise on a piece of bread for your breakfast, use cottage cheese or something that is healthier and has a lower amount of fat. It is also a good idea to add some vegetables or herbs to garnish your meal.

Too Many Nuts May Make You Nuts!
There is no doubt that nuts contain good monounsaturated fats and are cholesterol free, but the fat content in macadamia nuts is high enough to ruin your diet. The presence of a high level of fats in the nuts doesn’t mean you should quit eating them. You are advised to limit the intake of macadamia nuts if you are trying to lose weight. Choose other nuts that are low in fat, such as almonds. Macadamia nuts will not harm you if taken in a moderation. A handful of nuts per week is okay. Make sure not to overload yourself with nuts.

Coffee Creamer – A Definite No-No
Coffee itself is not harmful or rich in fat if taken without sugar or artificial sweeteners. However, adding coffee creamers to make your coffee sweeter can be troublesome for your health. Coffee creamers are as harmful to your health as natural sweeteners. They have quite a high amount of fat which you don’t want to consume. The worst part is that the fat found in coffee creamers is saturated fat which is not considered good at all. Not only natural creamers, but milk is also known to have relatively high amounts of fat. It is better to have coffee without coffee creamer or milk.

Spread Peanut Butter On Your Sandwich, But Thinly
Peanut butter is widely used in sandwiches. It adds a rich taste to your sandwich, making it taste even more delicious, but before you take a bite, take a deeper look into the composition of peanut butter. It is a really good source of mono-unsaturated fats that are good for your health but consuming too much of it can be bad news for your health, especially for your waistline. 100 grams of regular peanut butter contains about 50 grams of fat. If you love it and still want to have it on your bread, don’t put a thick layer of peanut butter, but spread it thinly.

Potato Chips — Full Of Fats
Potato chips come in a great variety and lots of people have developed the habit of eating them every day. They seem to be very light and easy to digest, but that’s not true — they are typically high in fat and calories. There is no doubt that potato chips are tasty, inexpensive, and an easily available snack, but the way they affect your body is not worth the pleasure. A study in England showed that an extra ounce of potato crisps daily can lead to an average weight gain of 1.8 pounds over 4 years. Some brands are also found to have chemicals that are harmful for the digestive system.

Cheddar Cheese — Too Fatty To Eat
You might have heard that cheese is healthy for the body. There is no doubt that it is, but adding cheese to most foods to make them tastier is really a bad idea. One hundred grams of cheddar cheese contains approximately 33 grams of fat. Eating foods rich in cheese once a week is enough but consuming such foods every other day does not make any sense. If you want to stay away from the adverse effects of cheese, you’d better cut down on foods that contain a remarkably high amount of cheese such as pizza, cheeseburgers, toasted cheese sandwiches, and pasta.

Eat Chicken Pie But Very Rarely
One hundred grams of a typical chicken pie contains only 23 grams of fat. This amount is comparatively less than the other sneaky fat-rich foods, but the point is that pie is loaded with the kinds of fat that are not considered good for the human body. Don’t be fooled by the amount of fat in pie. The total amount of fat is not too high, but this kind of fat is bad for your health. A single portion of pie is about 300 grams which means you are consuming 69 grams of fat with each portion. Cut down on this extra fat if you want to stay healthy.

Stay Away From Red Meat
Red meat (e.g. mutton, beef) is rich in protein and essential minerals. It is very powerful and can give you a lot of energy. Strict vegetarians are more likely to suffer from anemia because meat is a good source of Vitamin B. The bad news for meat lovers is that red meat has considerably high levels of fats. Eating small portions of red meat twice a week would not harm a person but consuming large amounts of red meat may result in gaining a few extra pounds. Avoid too much red meat, particularly if it is deep-fried.

Doughnuts — Cholesterol Elevator
Deep-fried foods are not considered to be healthy. Deep-fried foods and delicacies have more harmful effects on our bodies than benefits. The hot oil denatures the essential minerals and vitamins leaving nothing but the bad fat. Doctors encourage people to avoid deep-fried foods, because these foods often have no nutritional benefit. A 100 gram doughnut may contain 22 grams of fat. This is not a large amount but this fat may convert in low density lipoproteins (LDLs) which result in accumulation of fat in blood vessels. Grab a baked item rather than having a deep-fried product.

Avocados Are Not As Healthy As You Think
Avocados are good source of monounsaturated fats. These fruits are healthy for the body, especially the heart. They are rich in essential minerals, but if you are on diet or are weight-conscious, you might want to stick to small or moderate portions. As you may know, monounsaturated fats are good for your health, but eating large portions of avocados may result in fat overload. When in excess, these fats start to accumulate within the body which results in weight gain. Avocados in excess are not a good choice for heart-conscious patients. Excess fats may result in dyslipidemia.
