Garlic
Garlic is a unique herb that tastes good in almost anything. It's used for a myriad of health conditions, including high blood pressure, high cholesterol, hemorrhoids, asthma, and to prevent tick bites. You might not think of garlic as much of an aphrodisiac, since your partner might be repulsed by it unless she's also eaten it. The very chemical that gives garlic its lovely smell — allicin — also helps men boost their sperm count, though! So don't feel guilty for piling the garlic on, and just make sure you enjoy this herb in company.

Oysters
Do you think eating raw oysters is sexy, or are you rather disgusted by their sliminess? Though this seafood is widely considered to be an aphrodisiac, we'll have to admit that oysters are definitely an acquired taste. Men who are working on becoming fathers may want to learn to love them. They contain high amounts of zinc, which boosts testosterone production and helps keep sperm cells healthy. Oysters will also increase the blood flow to your nether regions. Time for a romantic evening at your local seafood restaurant? You never know what results that may produce!

Walnuts
Walnuts are somewhat of a male fertility wonder food, and all men who are hoping to become fathers should consider consuming them regularly. They're rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids, which help sperm mature and remain viable. They also contain zinc, vitamin E, potassium, iron and vitamin B6, among other things. Walnuts are tasty and versatile, and a study proved that adding them to a western diet significantly improves a man's sperm count and quality. If you haven't given walnuts a serious try yet, they are a great food to add to your menu plan when you are trying to conceive.

Dark Chocolate
Chocolate appears to be a predominantly female obsession, but perhaps that is something that should change. If you go for real dark chocolate, you'll get much more than a sugar rush. The stuff contains L-Arginine HCL, an amino acid that will actually double your sperm count. It also increases semen volume, which means a lot to some men but doesn't really affect your chances of conceiving. Finally, regular consumption of dark chocolate is said to offer a guy more intense orgasm. Enjoying your sex more can certainly boost your chances of getting your partner pregnant! So, give it a try. The chocolate itself will also please your other half, of course.

Pomegranate
Pomegranates area Jewish fertility symbol, enjoyed during Rosh Hashanah — The Jewish new year — to symbolize prosperity and adherence to the Biblical commandments. These tasty seeds are more than a symbol however. They can really boost your fertility, considering that they contain huge amounts of antioxidants. Pomegranates can be added to most foods or enjoyed as a juice. Besides making your meal look exclusive, they'll also ensure the levels of the chemical malondialidehyde in your blood will be reduced. Since the chemical kills sperm, it's not hard to see how pomegranate could do your fertility some good.

Bananas
Some ancient peoples might have believed that phallic-shaped foods increased a man's fertility, but in some cases it is really true. In the cases of bananas, it definitely isn't the shape that adds to a man's sperm quality though — it is an enxyme called bromelain. Bromelain regulates a man's sex hormones. Besides this little gem, bananas are also full of other nutrients you'll need to optimize the quality of those swimmers: vitamins A, B1, and C. Bananas keep your blood glucose levels steady, making them the perfect mid-afternoon snack. Just keep them around the house, and you might just conceive soon!

Maca
If you are not sure what maca even is, you are certainly not alone. Men who are on a mission to improve their sperm count and quality might want to look into this Peruvian root, however, and they may discovered it will also improve their sex life! One study showed that the maca root increases sperm count by 40 percent, but it is also said to improve motility — sperm's ability to reach its target. Pre-Incan inhabitants of Peru knew it as an aphrodisiac. Proponents say the root doesn't come with any side effects because it is, after all, a food.

Ginseng
Animals studies show that Asian ginseng boosts sperm production as well as sexual performance. The plant has been used for thousands of years in traditional Asian medicine, and Korean men who take ginseng were found to have less trouble getting erections than those who don't. Does it work? An increase in sex certainly leads to a higher chance of getting your partner pregnant! And perhaps, your sperm count will also go up. Make sure to stay away from Siberian ginseng which is a completely different plant, however.

Asparagus
Asparagus are, besides being incredibly tasty, also known as a natural aphrodisiac. Did you know that this veggie could also boost your sperm count? Though asparagus do have more than a passing resemblance to the penis, its shape has nothing to do with it. Asparagus are full of vitamin C and K, and zinc. Men need all of these to achieve optimum fertility, and consuming asparagus means you'll see a reduction in the harmful free radicals in your body. Asparagus benefit the swimming ability (motility) of your sperm as well as increasing its actual count.

Beef
Asparagus, bananas, ginseng, oysters... they all have a reputation that might make you more likely to have confidence in them as fertility foods. But, beef? Though beef may be tasty and is definitely seen as a very masculine food, it could be hard to think of your steak as fertility enhancing. Think again, though: beef is full of that famous zinc. Zinc is essential for the production of healthy sperm, and it also keeps a man's sex drive up. Make sure to keep it lean, though. You don't want heart problems or abdominal flab.
