I have always had very on-time periods, but the have always been incredibly painful and very heavy. I had a child two years ago this month and had an IUD until abou 4 months ago and had it taken out because it was causing me pain, however there were no issues with it, (no perforation, movement, scarring). Since I had it taken out my periods have been on time and no different than they had ever been. My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex many times in the last few months, not trying to get pregnant necessarily, but very okay with it if it happens. My period is now just over two weeks late. No strong symptoms, (slight breast tenderness, slightly more tired and hungry than usual but not sleeping well at all, heavy migraines) I had cramping right around the time I was supposed to start, but never did. Took two pregnancy tests that week, both negative. Had some white discharge, very thin somewhat clear. Today I am 15 days late, and having light, bright red spotting. My periods are always very very dark red/brown the entire time. And I am having fairly bad cramps now, mostly in my back. This is just all very very strange for me and my body. I am always very in tune with myself physically, and this is very very different than my last pregnancy, but thought it could be because a) I was 17 when I got pregnant, just turned 18 when I had her, I am now 20 and in much better health and mentally in much better condition, under far less stress. B) did have my iud in for about a year and a half and it did change my periods slightly, thought maybe it could change how this is. C) ever pregnancy is different of course, and this is with a different guy. Due to my young age, financial situation and situation with my pregnancy in general with my daughter I sorrowfully gave her up for adoption, but I loved her to much to not give her the life she really deserved. Now that I am financially stable, and in a perfect relationship, I am ready to be a mom. Any advice helps! Thanks so much:)
