This does not necessarily mean that you will lose your baby.

Sometimes when you fall pregnant, you do not know exactly when ovulation took place, you may think that you are 6 weeks pregnant but you may have ovulated a bit later, therefore perhaps you are only 5 weeks along.

The difference with a scan in what you see at 5 weeks and what you see at 6 weeks is a very big difference, so there is every chance that you are just a week behind what you should be.

I would imagine that they will rescan you in a week or two, to make sure there has been growth and everything is fine.

I know this means an anxious wait for your to find out for sure that everything is fine.

I wish you all the best.
